Who am I?

My name is Cherie. I have been writing for as long as I can remember. It started with writing stories and small scripts when I was younger. As time went on my writing and interest in words grew in intensity.

I have always been a lover of books. Constantly pouring into them and now listening to audiobooks any chance I can get. Books being such a great pathway to knowledge and exposure to new worlds and ways of thinking I mean how can you not right?

I decided to pursue writing professionally when undergoing my higher education. I received both my bachelors and my masters degree in English. While pursuing my many degrees I was able to learn about many types of writing from writing abstracts for conference, grant writing, delivering conference papers.

I was granted many opportunities to grow my knowledge of social media. Having been tasked with website platform creation many times, I learned how to master website copy and create engaging content for an audience that could effectively bring visions to life.

Over time I have created various sites through the Weebly and WordPress platforms. I have had experience creating content for social media utilizing Canva, Plann, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

I decided to create this platform to document my journey as I grow as a freelancer. Follow me if you’d love to hear more about my ongoing reflections where I detail what I am learning along the way and what books and trainings I have come across as I expand my mindset as a business owner.

Best,

Cherie

I am a freelance copywriter, and copyeditor from Bronx, New York. I have been writing ever since I could remember back with random journal entries and short stories written in school. I have gone on to get both my Bachelors and Masters in English. I have been designing websites, writing copy, and editing the past six years. I believe communications and the arts are important vehicles through which individuals and brands can express their messages and connect to their intended audience.
